Most of us come to yoga for increased flexibility. Great news: YES! Yoga fosters flexibility and physical comfort. But did you know strength—which is also developed through yoga practice—must be developed hand-in-hand with flexibility? And, did you know that relaxation is as important as exertion? In this class, you will learn about the integrated health and transformation that yoga practice provides, and soon you’ll begin feeling that calm and contentment deep in your body and mind, in class and even off the mat. This class integrates classic yoga postures to enhance strength and vitality, bringing new, healthy movement, flexibility (of body and mind!), and breathing patterns into our daily lives. As a morning practice, Yoga for Strength & Vitality often includes many standing and energizing sequences to get your day shining in a delightful direction.

Then join us for SUMMER TERM 2017! Yoga for Strength & Vitality for Summer Term begins in August and runs through September, allowing you to commit to your practice, be part of a fun and abundant community, and develop your external and internal sense of contentment, stability, and stamina.
Do you love feeling comfortable to ask questions, laugh, and select different options to make each posture just right for you? Does the thought of being part of a kind community working towards health from the inside out light you up and put a smile on your face? All classes at AHA Yoga are small to facilitate individualized instruction and a nurturing environment. Yoga props are provided to make each pose accessible and aid healthy, open alignment. All poses are cued in detail and various options provided to modify postures for ease and stability in your individual body. Yoga practitioners often become friends, as we share a joyful practice together and meet other folks similarly interested in living the best, truest life possible.
You have TWO opportunities to join Yoga for Strength & Vitality during the Summer Term: Wednesdays at 10 to 11:15 am, or Saturdays at 10 to 11:15 am.
