3 Rs summer term 2017

Would you like to feel more rested and energized?  Feel like there are not enough hours in the day?  Then this series is for you!

Each of these unwinding, deep yet gentle classes is designed to slowly release tension in the body, facilitate deep relaxation, and contribute to rejuvenation.

If you need to relieve stress, slow down and make space for your body and mind to heal, and cultivate practices that will help you show up as your best self every day, reserve your place in this series now.

In addition, you get to experience 3 distinct yoga practices to learn the variety and breadth of yoga wisdom and the deep transformation available within your own body-mind.  Each approach helps refine, comfort, and restore your body and mind, while the variety allows you to learn what practices work best for your body at any given time, so you can apply this knowledge in the future as well.  It is like a fine tasting platter of delicious YOGA.

Here is the delightful sampling you get to experience:

Restorative Yoga:  Restful, gentle approach, mostly done on the floor with lots of bolsters and blankets for support; great for healing.
Yin Yoga:  Classic postures with long holds, also on the floor; cultivates patience and breath awareness while releasing tight spots and getting deep into connective tissue.
Yoga Nidra:  A brief series of very gentle movements and simple yoga poses to release tension, then breathing exercises, guided deep relaxation, and brief yet intense meditation.

Restorative yoga does just what the name implies; it restores a sense of calm and restfulness. Our lives are so busy. This is an hour to simply take care of your body, to slow down your mind, and just focus on breathing. It is so relaxing! I may have fallen asleep a couple of times! Relaxing poses are held just a little longer to allow enough time for stress to melt away. I would recommend this class to everyone.

YOGA NIDRA has been one of my favorite experiences of yoga; so much so that I would do it again. I really liked the mini lesson given beforehand.
